Petite Arvine 2025 - 75cl - AOC Valais - Domaine des Petites Planètes
This wine is made from the emblematic grape variety in Valais, Petite Arvine. 12,5% vol.
My first white vintage could only be born from Petite Arvine, this emblematic grape variety of the Swiss Alps, deeply rooted in the soul of these mountains. Refined, vibrant with citrus notes and a unique freshness, this wine, like an alpine landscape, resembles no other. This Petite Arvine did not undergo malolactic fermentation, in order to preserve all its lively freshness.
The harvest took place as the first signs of noble rot began to appear. When the Petite Arvine "coagulates," it is the harbinger of a beautiful aromatic profile, ample and generous, promising a wine of great richness and depth.
This wine was born in Switzerland. Here, no synthetic inputs are used, neither in the vineyard nor in the cellar. Instead, plant infusions, fermented extracts, and compost tea watch over the vines like benevolent companions, gently accompanying them through every stage of the season, complemented by copper and sulfur to limit the spread of downy and powdery mildew. Thus, this wine breathes the earth that saw it grow, free and sincere, in harmony with nature's rhythms.

Tasting Notes
A Petite Arvine full of texture, offering a touch that is both straight, precise, and refined, unfolding with beautiful amplitude in the mid-palate on rhubarb. Aromas of peach and delicate exotic fruits mingle with a subtle floral note, while careful work on bitterness nuances the tasting, bringing depth and elegance.
Aging Potential
Magnificent on the fruit from the first year, if offered a refuge where freshness and humidity are in balance, this wine will know how to wait, patient, for 3 to 8 years, before revealing the full richness of its character.
2025 Vintage in Valais
The 2025 vintage in Valais will remain etched as a year of climatic grace, where the vines benefited from a mild spring and a stable summer, exempt from late frosts, extreme heatwaves, or major sanitary pressures. This ideal weather allowed for a harmonious vegetative cycle, from flowering to veraison, promoting regular sugar accumulation and optimal phenolic maturity without stress for the plant. We were thus able to conduct the harvest with rare serenity, spreading out the picking to harvest each grape variety at its point of perfection.
The resulting wines are distinguished by their natural balance and great consistency, moving away from the nervous tension of 2024 or the solar power of 2023 to offer an expression of fullness. The whites seduce with their aromatic purity and elegant roundness, while the reds display silky structures, deep colors, and tannins of remarkable finesse. This "remarkable" vintage confirms that in Valais, when weather conditions are exceptional, we can give birth to wines of great harmony, ready to seduce with their early accessibility while asserting a fine aging potential.
